I wonder if half of the people on this tribe have ever attended a radical faery gathering or have even been to hawaii!! the original intention of this tribe was as a place of communication for those who considered themselves to be a radical faeries and to discuss possiblities of creating a radical faery sanctuary on the island....this is very cutting edge of me to do as a bio-female of course, for any of you out there that have witnessed the Gender-battles going on in the Wolf Creek Radical faerie tribe!!
Anyway I have attended many gatherings at both Wolf Creek and Short Mountain Faerie Sanctuaries and had the vision that one day Hawaii would have its own Faerie Sanctaury...It's caretakers would be nothing like nomenus and not have a Gender-specific status....I have found in my 5 years in hawaii that this is a distant dream. There is hardly a gay community here at all not to mention a lack of a pagan community. So I have decided to hand over to another faerie friend this mission and to be the new moderator of this tribe.
I have decided to move from Hawaii to a place where i can be closer to my communities, one of witch is the Radical faeries amongst others....Hopefully this vision will one day manifest, then maybe I'll come back to Hawaii....
Aloha & blessings

Your first statement sounding like a question, I thought I'd answer.
I'm a member of this tribe and I have been to several rad fae gatherings, mostly at Destiny in Vermont, but also Wolf Creek, Breitenbush, Blue Heron, and Short Mountain. I was at one of the intention circles at SMS for a sanctuary in Hawaii, when faeries were first talking about that.
At that time, I had just moved to Seattle from New York. I had a strong vision then of one day living on the Hawaiian Islands. While it is still a strong possibility, I have really connected with Seattle and I am starting to feel like I don't want to move to a new place every 3-4 years as I've been doing since being out on my own.
At the same time, my involvement in rad fae community has ebbed lately. I was strongly involved in the Destiny community, but out here in the Northwest I don't feel the same pull to be with faeries. Not sure what that's about. Would love to get back to Destiny someday to see all the changes. And SMS is one of my favorite places in the world!
About a month ago I finally made it to Hawaii. I had only been to Ohau once before as a kid with my family, doing the beaten track thing. This time I went with my partner to Kauai. We attended an international Vedic astrology conference at a hotel in Lihue, and then attempted to backpack the Na Poli coast. The big rains came early, and we got rained out. It was an adventure, and beautiful, with waterfalls everywhere.
Hawaii is definitely very dear to my heart, and I already have plans to return. On our way back we made a deal with the airlines when they overbooked our flight, and we each got $400 airfare credit. I'd like to visit Kalani, and a Toltec teacher of mine is on the Big I as well, and she studies with a Hawaiian "auntie" who I would love to meet.
My plans to move to Hawaii and be a part of creating faerie sanctuary and maybe even living at the sanctuary has sort of fizzled for now. But who knows what the future holds...?
Thanks for helping this quiet tribe stay connected and voicing your hopes and dreams and frustrations. When I have time, I'll upload the amazing photos from my trip to the tribe.
Many Blessings,

thanks for your response....
how long ago was that SMS intention circle for creating a hawaii sanctuary??? probably a while ago, and unfortunately i haven't seen any action being taken on that idea...
i'd love it if a sanctuary did happen here....hawaii has such powerful mana and natural beauty to support it...
